Льыоравэтльан - Sittings of Public Chamber of Small- Numbered Indigenous Peoples of Krasnoyarsk Krai

Public Chamber of Small- Numbered Indigenous Peoples of Krasnoyarsk Krai met on February 26. The Chamber included 7 public associations of small-numbered indigenous peoples of Krasnoyarsk Krai at the opening of the sittings. The sitters voted unanimously for establishment of the Public Chamber. They approved regulations. Grigory Dyukarev, representative of Interregional Public Charitable Foundation for Support of Taymyr Small-Numbered Indigenous Peoples "Vozrozhdeniye", was elected chairman by a majority vote. The sitters made short presentations of organizations they represented:
- Small-Numbered Indigenous Peoples of the North of Krasnoyarsk Krai Communities' Uniоn (A. Afanasyev);
- Regional Association of Public Organizations of Small-Numbered Indigenous Peoples of the North of Krasnoyarsk Krai (V. Gayulsky);
- Interregional Public Charitable Foundation for Support of Taymyr Small-Numbered Indigenous Peoples "Vozrozhdeniye" (G. Dyukarev);
- Krasnoyarsk Regional Public Organization "Severny Dom" (O. Sinnikova - per procura);
- Regional Public Organization "Informational Legal Center of Indigenous Peoples of Krasnoyarsk Krai" (E. Nechushkina);
- Krasnoyarsk Regional Organization of Small-Numbered Indigenous Peoples of the North "Assotsiatsiya Ketov" (V. Ryazantsev).
They sketched a hasty plan of work of the Chamber where they made suggestions concerning:
- content of Conception of Sustainable Development of Small-Numbered Indigenous Peoples of Krasnoyarsk Krai;
- content of draft law on protection of original habitat of small-numbered indigenous peoples of Krasnoyarsk Krai:
- content of draft law on northern reindeer breeding:
- initiation of the laws of special legal status of Taymyr Dolgan-Nenets and Evenki municipal areas of Krasnoyarsk Krai;
- change of hunting season terms;
- establishment of ethnocultural center of small-numbered indigenous peoples of Krasnoyarsk Krai;
- other issues.
