''Altai Princess'' Mummy will Return Home

The unique archeological find the "Altai Princess" mummy may be transferred to the Gorno-Altaisk state museum possession. The construction of sarcophagus will cost 271 million rubles. The Altai Republic authorities began the museum reconstruction. It is to be realized in the course of a year. They plan to build the sarcophagus with special temperature conditions and make the museum building suitable to keep the mummy.
The expedition of a Novosibirsk archeologist Natalya Polosmak found the mummy of a young girl covered with tattoo in a good state of preservation in the burial mound of Scythian times on Ukok plateau near Mongolian border in 1993.
